Performer | Educator 

 Monica is a passionate flautist in the Orange County area, renowned for her natural ability to produce beautiful sounds. 

She attained her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and minor in management at University of California, Irvine.

 

Her journey as a flautist began at the age of 9 years old using a flute that her aunt gave her under the direction of Heejung. 

 

In 2018,she won the American Protege International Competition and made her Carnegie Hall  debut at 18 years old. During her time at UCI, she has participated in UCI wind ensemble and have participated in many chamber groups working with her peers. Her past mentors include Patricia Cloud, Hyesong Cho, and Mary Palchak.
